Wolf Cub Classes for under sevens

The Thanet Academy’s new ‘Wolf Cub’ program has been designed as a preschool to the main club, catering for 7-year olds and under. The sessions are modified Tae Kwon-Do classes. The main focus is to provide a club that is fun, motivating and enhances all areas of the child’s development.

How ‘Wolf Cubs’ Will Benefit Each Child

Intellectual Development
Through involvement in Tae Kwon-Do, key skills are developed including,

From a young age it is important for children to understand why we need to keep fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Tae Kwon-Do enhances,

Teamwork is an important aspect of Tae Kwon-Do training. Good friendships are built, whilst developing a common interest with peers. Children also learn to respect themselves, as well as fellow students.

Emotional Development
Goal setting is a major component of Tae Kwon-Do training. Through regular achievements children develop a positive self-image. Through positive visualization children develop their confidence, personal pride and a sense of self-belief.

Wolf Cubs Instructor
Miss Lucy Wolf V Dan

Lucy Wolf is a 5th degree black belt and has been training at the Thanet Academy under the instruction of Master Wolf, for 18 years.

During her Tae Kwon-Do career she has amassed an amazing tally of medals and trophies in excess of 400, gaining British and European titles.

Lucy is also the current ITF World Champion.

Lucy began teaching at a young age, assisting at the Thanet Academy. Over the years she has helped young students develop into amazing Tae Kwon-Do practitioners, and has coached many to the level of national as well as international champions.

Lucy is the instructor of the Canterbury Academy, and is now running the Thanet Academy’s new ‘Wolf Cub’ program.

CRB Checked – Enhanced
International TKD Umpire (Classification A)
